With the introduction of the new KC9 Lightweight 1911, Ed Brown Products is bringing the value pricing of the company's EVO Series into a lightweight, easy-to-conceal, daily carry pistol.

The KC9-LW, chambered in 9 mm, starts with a lightweight aluminum frame that weighs just 27 ounces, and also features a Bobtail housing and concealed-carry grip safety. The slide has been shortened to 4 inches and has been thinned substantially for lighter weight. It also has a custom slide cut, special front and rear serrations for a tactile surface and a modern, external extractor. The front sight is designed to be easy to change, and it also includes a Tactical Edge rear sight, fluted bull barrel, a flat-wire recoil-spring system, slim grips and a unique Snakeskin stippling pattern on the front strap and back strap for added grip.

Ed Brown Sales and Marketing Director John May said, “What a great team we have here, to be able to envision and execute so quickly - It’s just another example of Brown Family’s commitment to excellence, and that commitment is how we can offer our customers such value and quality at the same time. We continue leading the way: If you have not looked at Ed Brown in a while, it is time to look again.”

Ed Brown's Evolution Series of guns are designed in batches and feature shared components that allow the company's pistolsmiths to create custom platforms at lower prices, since all the guns in one select series are built together. Thanks to this unique system, consumers still get the high-quality, hand-fit construction that Ed Brown 1911s are known for while paying less for the privilege.

The hand-built KC9-LW is constructed using fully machined components and backed by a written Lifetime Warranty. MSRP is $2,295, and more information is available at edbrown.com.
