First Look: Streamlight TL-Racker Shotgun Forend

Getting a bead with your defensive shotgun in low-light situations just got a lot easier with the new TL-Racker shotgun forend from Streamlight. Buliding on the company's long tradition of producing rugged, high-quality lighting systems, The TL-Racker is an all-in-one light solution for the Mossberg 500 and 590 and Remington 870 pump-action shotguns. The forend has a bright, built-in 850-lumen light that capitalizes on Streamlight’s expertise in tactical firearms lights and accessories.

“The TL-Racker was designed in response to customer need for a lightweight, integrated, ultra-bright shotgun forend light solution,” Streamlight President and Chief Executive Officer Ray Sharrah said. “This new light is the whole package, featuring an innovative, ergonomic design that maximizes grip and switch access, and provides extremely bright light, all at an affordable price point.”

Built with a sleek, lightweight, ergonomic design which allows for maximum grip and ease of use, the light’s large, ambidextrous switch pad provides easy access for both momentary and constant-on functions. The elongated switch pad of the forend is built so both left and right-handed shooters can easily use it without having to change their grip or make modifications to the light or gun.

Powered by two commonly-available CR123A lithium batteries, the light inside the TL-Racker forend works in high setting only, delivering 850 lumens and 14,000 candela with a one-hour constant-on run time. The body of the forend is built from strong, impact-resistant nylon IPX4-rated design for weather resistance and is IPX4-rated design for weather resistance. Each forend is designed with a textured surface that allows shooters to get a solid supporting grip on their shotgun in all weather conditions.
