In recent years, two entirely different rifle platforms have become incredibly popular among modern shooters: the AR-15 and the tactical, chassis-style, long-range bolt gun. JP Enterprises Founder John Paul familiarized himself with both of these platforms through multiple competitions and saw room for AR-style controls and ergonomics to transfer over to today's popular bolt-action precision platforms. The result was the JP Enterprises APAC rifle chassis, which stands for Advanced Precision Ambidextrous Chassis.

“After so many years shooting 3-Gun, I couldn’t get back into a typical bolt gun when I switched over to precision rifle," Paul said. "Everything about the AR interface was a more natural fit, so we designed our first chassis around that. In the last decade, precision rifle has really matured, and so has our perspective. For this project, we brought in the best ideas, and we didn’t skimp on the quality. I think we really nailed it with the APAC.”

Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, the JP APAC chassis features a V-block bedding system designed for use with all Remington 700-style rifle actions on the market, offering consumers an incredible range of versatility from popular Remington factory actions to a huge number of other custom actions built on the Model 700 footprint. The company started with the design of its original APAC, which debuted in 2006. The redesigned APAC came about with an increased focus on bringing all the ergonomic benefits of the AR-15 into a seamless, streamlined package purpose-built for precision rifles.

Each JP APAC rifle chassis is outfitted with a folding stock that can be user-adjusted for length-of-pull, comb height and cant, thanks to built-in tension wheels complete with integrated locking mechanisms. The design is completely ambidextrous, giving users the ability to install both left- and right-handed actions. Each chassis is outfitted with an Arca-Swiss-style rail integrated into the handguard, and the fore-end is also compatible with a range of MK III accessories. An integrated bubble level allows users to check how level their platform is at a glance, and all AR-style pistol grips are compatible with the unit.

The JP Enterprises APAC rifle chassis accepts all AICS-pattern magazines and is treated with a hard-anodized finish, with custom Cerakote finish options available as well. The suggested retail price on the chassis is $1,599.
