Thermal sights and handheld optics are gaining popularity among America’s gun owners. New for 2019 from Meprolight is the NYX-200 thermal sight, which can be mounted on a standard Picatinny rail or hand-held, allowing users to quickly detect targets, even in total darkness. The NYX-200 offers four different models with different features, but all of them have a second digital camera channel to allow for easy recording and storage of what’s showing up in your sights.

Made to MIL-810 standards, the MEPRO NYX-200 sight is available in several configurations, all providing a high-resolution thermal channel with 640x480 microbolometer core and a 17µ pixel size. The sight also provides a sensitive second camera channel which features a 1280x640 low-light or day camera. The MEPRO NYX-200 can quickly be changed from hand-held to weapons mount and vice versa, and ergonomic and easy-to-operate menu has intuitive icons for fast operation under all hunting and shooting scenarios.

The MEPRO NYX-200 sight operates on four standard AA batteries (lithium, alkaline or rechargeable NiMH) and is capable of running eight hours consecutively. MSRP starts at $9,240.00. More information on the MEPRO NYX-200 is available at meprolight.com.
