First introduced in 2017, the Bergara Hunting and Match Rifle (HMR) developed as a do-it-all rifle platform that could tackle a range of tasks with the accuracy, precision and dependability consumers came to expect from Bergara guns. However, the one thing missing in the new lineup was a lefty-friendly model of the rifle, which Bergara rectified in 2019 with the launch of its B14 Series HMR Left-Hand.

Each Bergara B14 Series HMR rifle is constructed with an integrated mini-chassis, which is molded into the stock as an integrated piece that provides precise bedding. This precision-bedding feature enables the gun to have a free-float barrel as well as a solidly bedded action, improving accuracy and making the rifle less-susceptible to environmental variables. Both hunters and competition shooters can also custom-fit the guns to their particular body profile, thanks to the adjustable comb piece and included length-of-pull spacers.

Every gun in the Bergara B14 Series is produced at the company's renowned barrel-manufacturing facility in Bergara, Spain and feature barrels made from 4140 chrome-moly steel. These guns are built on the company's unique B-14 action, a two-lug design complete with a sliding plate extractor and a coned bolt nose and breech. This design is proven to provide smoother, more-reliable feeding and extraction of every round. The guns are also built with the company's curved-trigger design, offering a smooth, clean, consistent, 3-pound break for every shot.

Receivers on the Bergara B14 Series HMR Left-Hand mdoel are drilled-and-tapped for all Remington 700-style rings and bases. The rifles are available in .308 Win., 450 Bushmaster, 6.5 Creedmoor, .22-250, 6 mm Creedmoor, and .300 Win. Mag. Barrel lengths vary from 20 to 26 inches, depending on caliber, and weight is also caliber-dependent, ranging from 9.15 to 9.6 pounds. Each rifle features a 5/8-24 TPI threaded muzzle, and the suggested retail price on the guns is $1,300.
