Offering consumers an added option in its Bold Action V tactical-knife lineup, Bear & Son Cutlery announced the launch of the company's all-new Bear Ops AC-551 tactical knife. This all-new blade features many of the same elements that led to the success of the company's other Bold Action knives, and this black-on-black model provides added aesthetic options.

Built as a full-size blade particularly designed for professionals in law-enforcement, military and contracting, the AC-551 knife is purpose-built to be dependable and affordable, all while being made in America. The knife is equipped with a Sandvik 14c28n blade with a Rockwell hardness rating of 58-60 contained inside of an all-black handle machined from G10 fiberglass-laminate material, all designed to withstand the weather and provide reliable service in a range of conditions.

Thanks to the blade's automatic operation, an activation button located on the side of the handle quickly deploys the knife, offering fast, one-handed operation. For safety while carried in the pocket, the blade features a sliding lock that immobilizes the push-button deployment system, ensuring that pressure from inside the pocket won't cause the blade to deploy unintentionally.

The Bear Ops AC-551 tactical knife is equipped with a pocket clip oriented for tip-up carry. The clip can be placed on either side of the knife, providing extra flexibility in carry positions and for left-handed users. Each knife measures 8.75 inches in overall length, with a blade edge measuring 3.75 inches. When closed, the knife measures just 5 inches in overall length. The overall weight of the knife is 5.4 ounces.

Each Bear Ops AC-551 tactical knife is covered under Bear & Son Cutlery's lifetime warranty. The suggested retail price on the knife is $171.99.
