Redesigned for 2018, the Bersa TPR series of handguns is now shipping through Eagle Imports, providing consumers with a number of handgun option designed for home defense, range use and concealed carry.

“We’re excited to bring this next generation of Bersa TPRs to American consumers,” said Michael Sodini, president of Eagle Imports. “Once available only to military and law enforcement personnel, it’s always offered rugged durability and impressive accuracy. This new evolution makes the TPR officially one of my favorites for self-defense and sport.”

Available in both full-size and compact configurations, the new iteration of the company's TPR handguns are loaded with a number of features designed to enhance its usability and attractiveness in the American market.

Principally, the guns have been redesigned to provide users with a lightened trigger that offers a smoother pull. The grip has also been reformed into a slimmer profile, giving handgunners increased reach to operate the trigger in both double-action and single-action modes. Control-wise, the TPR guns are all equipped with ambidextrous safety levers, slide stops and magazine releases, making them friendly to both left- and right-handed shooters.

Additionally, the frame and slide have also seen a number of enhancements, incorporating serrations at the front of the frame for improved thumb support and slide serrations at the front and rear for added control surfaces.

In addition to these all-new design features, the guns also incorporate a number of popular elements retained from the original generation of guns. A loaded-chamber indicator located on the top of the slide protrudes when a round is chambered, ensuring that users have a visual and tactile reference point for checking if the firearm is loaded.

Each pistol is still made with frames machined from aluminum alloy and featuring an integrated Picatinny accessory rail for the attachment of light and laser accessories. The guns are compatible with all SIG Sauer-style aftermarket sights.

The full-size model is chambered in 9 mm and features a barrel measuring 4.25 inches long. Three compact models are also available in the lineup, equipped with a 3.25-inch barrel and available in 9 mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP. The suggested retail price for the new Bersa TPR handguns starts at $508.
