Designed and built in the United States, the Leupold VX-Freedom series of riflescopes offers firearm owners an inexpensive, quality-driven optics lineup that fits the budget for any hunting or shooting rig.

“Our new VX-Freedom line delivers the versatility and performance hunters and shooters have come to expect from the Leupold brand, all while remaining budget-friendly,” said Tim Lesser, vice president of product development for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “Whether you’re looking for your first scope or your 40th, there will be a VX-Freedom that suits your needs – all sporting our legendary gold ring.”

The core of the new VX-Freedom series is the company's lens system, featuring Leupold's Twilight Light Management System. In this setup, the company blended physical design with lens coatings to provide the best possible sight picture at dawn and dusk, critical times for hunters. The coating used on the optic's lenses also protect against scratches, giving owners the confidence they need to carry their optics into rugged environments.

Other elements of the VX-Freedom lineup include a specially designed power-selector ring, which blends in with the sleek, low-profile overall appearance of the optics in the lineup. However, when quick magnification change is needed, this selector ring can be manipulated easily, even with gloved hands or in damp conditions.

Leupold VX-Freedom series riflescopes will be provided in 1.5-4x20 mm, 2-7x33 mm, 3-9x40 mm, 3-9x50 mm and 4-12x40 mm magnification ranges, covering the popular options requested by consumers. The optics are built with second-focal-plane reticles and feature 1-inch main-body tubes. UltimateSlam, Rimfire MOA, Duplex, Pig-Plex and Tri-MOA reticles are planned for the series. The optics are purpose-built to provide dependable glass to owners of rimfire, centerfire and muzzleloading rifles.

The suggested retail price on the new Leupold VX-Freedom riflescope series will start at $234.99 and top out at $389.99.
