Left-handed shooters are often snubbed when it comes to new firearm introductions, the majority of which are designed for the right-handed consumers who make up the bulk of the market. However, Savage Arms is expanding its left-handed rifle offerings for 2018, ensuring that southpaws have expanded options.

“Research reports approximately 10 percent of Americans are left-handed,” said Jessica Treglia, Savage Arms senior brand manager. “Then there are those who are right-handed, but left-eye dominant. These hunters and shooters greatly benefit from a left-handed firearm, and Savage is proud to supply them with dependable and accurate left-handed choices.”

The company unveiled several left-handed models across all Savage rifle platforms. Notably, two precision chassis guns are part of the new southpaw selection: the Model 10/110 BA Stealth and the Stealth Evolution. Each rifle is equipped with a machined-aluminum chassis paired with a heavy barrel designed for ideal performance at extended distances.

The two precision rifles are loaded with the same feature-rich design as the company's right-handed models, including a custom-adjustable AccuTrigger, 5R button rifling and the company's thread-in headspacing. The Model 10/110 BA Stealth and Stealth Evolution rifles can be had in .223 Rem., 6 mm Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Win., .300 Win. Mag. and .338 Lapua Mag.

Savage Arms also expanded its line of rimfire offerings to include left-handed options, rolling out new models in the company's B Series, in particular. The Savage B17 and B22 provide consumers with left-hand specific models chambered in .17 HMR, .22 LR and .22 WMR. Like the company's precision rifles, these rimfire guns are feature-rich designs, leaving nothing out. Each rifle is equipped with a sporter barrel, synthetic ergonomic stock and an easy-to-use top-tang safety. Other features include a 10-round detachable rotary magazine, thread-in headspace system and the company's trusted, adjustable AccuTrigger.

Other left-handed rifle offerings available from the company for 2018 include the Model 110 Storm and the model 110 Tactical.
