Kimber announced a number of mid-year introductions to its revolver lineup, including a brand-new 3-inch barreled model of the company's popular K6s revolver.

"K6s set the bar for quality in production revolvers when we launched the platform last year," said Winslow Potter, Kimber’s director of product management. "We work hard to ensure that we continue to raise that bar to better meet the specific applications and individual personalities of the American gun owner, and these mid-year K6s models do just that."

The new 3-inch model is completed with a brushed stainless-steel frame, smooth walnut-wood grips and a set of three-dot sights. The gun still retains the same .357-Magnum caliber and cylinder capacity of six rounds as the original K6s model.

The original Kimber K6s revolver made waves during its introduction at the 2016 SHOT Show, providing consumers with the lightest .357 Mag. revolver on the market with the capability to carry six rounds. The gun weighs in at 23 ounces and features a cylinder that only measures 1.39 inches in diameter, allowing it to be carried easily without printing.

The gun is built form stainless steel in order to provide extra strength, as well as corrosion-resistance from the harsh environments exposed to personal-defense guns. The revolver also features a match-grade double-action trigger, as well as rounded edges that won't catch on clothing or holsters.

In addition, Kimber also announced the launch of two other models to its K6s lineup for 2017. The Kimber K6s DC features a diamond-like coated finish that provides users with a smooth, black look. The DC model also features black G10 grips and tritium-illuminated three-dot night sights. The company also launched the K6s CDP, which incorporates the company's Carry Melt treatment, as well as a DLC frame finish and stainless-steel highlights, including the barrel, cylinder and other parts.

The suggested retail price on the new Kimber K6s Stainless 3-inch revolver is $899. The new K6s DC and K6s CDP each retail at a suggested price of $1,155.
