With millions of rifles sold, the AR-15 is undoubtedly the most popular firearm in America, and UTG, a division of Leapers based in Livonia, MI, has developed its Pro Super Slim handguards as an added accessory for users looking to customize their firearm in accordance with their personal preferences.

The UTG Pro Super Slim AR-15 handguards feature two separate components that are designed for rapid, trouble-free installation using the traditional barrel-nut assembly included with standard ARs. The handguards are fully compatible with delta-ring and round-handguard retainer caps. In addition, owners of the Ruger AR-556 can use the handguards without worrying about interference with its proprietary barrel-nut attachment.

The Super Slim handguards are available in two of the most popular attachment systems available today: KeyMod and M-Lok. Both of these attachment systems are widely supported with a huge market of accessories and other add-ons. The slim handguards equipped with the KeyMod system weigh in at 6 ounces, while the M-Lok-equipped handguards weigh 6.2 ounces. The fore-ends are fully designed and built in the USA using 6061-T6 aluminum that features a black anodized finish.

With the Super Slim handguards from UTG, more versatility is offered than other AR handguards on the market. Both KeyMod and M-Lok attachment points are provided at seven different positions around the outside of the unit, giving users incredible leeway over the positioning of aftermarket accessories.

At the top of the handguard is a Picatinny rail, which is designed to fit over the barrel-nut assembly and create a continuous flattop rail that allows for a wide mounting range for optics and accessories. The UTG Super Slim Handguard ships with a number of accessories, depending on the mounting system chosen by the end user. M-Lok rails ship with an eight-slot Picatinny rail segment and a quick-detach sling-swivel adaptor. The KeyMod fore-end ships with a four-slot and an eight-slot rail segment.

The suggested retail price for each of the KeyMod and M-Lok UTG Pro Super Slim handguards is $99.97.
