Ruger announced the addition of a second model to its new LCP II lineup. The new LCP II pistol comes factory-equipped with a Viridian red laser sight.

The factory-installed Viridian E-Series red laser is mounted to the trigger guard of the LCP and adds only one ounce to the total weight of the pistol. The laser features ambidextrous push-button activation and provides a 5 milli-watt laser beam that allows for targeting in daylight conditions up to 25 yards away.

The Ruger LCP II features a single-action trigger pull for improved accuracy, as well as a textured grip frame and slide for improve purchase and control over the pistol. The gun also features last-round hold open, as well as integral sights and a bladed trigger safety. Other safeties on the pistol include a neutrally balanced sear with significant engagement and strong spring tension. The pistol is also equipped with a hammer catch that prohibits the hammer from hitting the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled.

Equipped with the Viridian laser, the LCP II measures in at 5.17 inches long and 3.71 inches tall and weighs in at 11.4 ounces. The grip frame is constructed from glass-filled nylon, while the slide and barrel are made from blued alloy steel.

The new Ruger LCP II equipped with a Viridian red laser comes with a pocket holster and a single 6-round magazine. The suggested retail price on the new pistol is $439.
