JP Enterprises addressed the issue of poor-fitting AR receivers with the introduction of the company's MicroFit takedown pins, designed to tighten up loose-fitting receivers and loosen up fit inside takedown pin holes.

"We've been fighting the issue of poor receiver fit for 20 years, which is when our original Tension Pin debuted," JP Enterprises Founder John Paul said. "Ask any bolt gun shooter. They will tell you that a rifle loose in its stock will not reach its accuracy potential. An AR with a loose upper/lower is no different. The MicroFit pins require no modification to the receiver. They simply replace your current pins."

The company's MicroFit pins are available in three different sizes: mean, oversized and undersized. Mean pins are sized to match the diameter of standard takedown pins, while the oversized and undersized variants are sized 0.001 inch more or less, respectively.

The pins feature a QPQ coating that provides corrosion- and wear-resistance, along with a two-faceted punch and bullet-capturing recess to avoid scratches to the pin surface. The suggested retail price on a set of MicroFit takedown pins is $28.
