Caldwell Shooting Supplies, a division of Battenfeld Technologies, introduced its new Mag Charger Universal Pistol Loader, which is designed to load any pistol magazine, including 1911-style mags.

The Mag Charger features polycarbonate construction along with a die-cast aluminum handle that does not flex under pressure. The loader uses adjustable side shims to accommodate both single-stack and double-stack magazines, and it also comes with a lock knob that keeps the magazine secure while loading.

To use the Mag Charger Universal Pistol Loader, shooters simply have to adjust the shims to fit the size of the magazine, insert the magazine and then lock it down with the lock knob. Once in place, users then insert a single round into the loader and squeeze the handle to load the round into the magazine. The company claims that this method is twice as fast as loading by hand.

The Universal Pistol Loader loads 9 mm, 10 mm, .357 SIG, .40 S&W, .45 ACP and some .380 ACP magazines. The suggested retail price on the new loader is $47.99.
