The company's Double Diamond Night Sights are designed to allow shooters to make accurate shots at longer distances with a glowing front sight and no visual rear sight. The front sight uses Advantage Tactical's Firefly technology that gives off a glow for hours after one minute of exposure to a light source. The company claims that the luminescent front-sight insert will last for decades.
"The Dark Diamond Sight is the most front-sight-oriented sight system in the industry. The ATS-DD is extremely fast and precise", said Richard Nasef, president of WrenTech Industries, LLC, the manufacturers of the Advantage Tactical Dark Diamond sights.
The system works by using the rear sight as a V-notch that cuts out the bottom portion of the diamond needed for sight alignment. Simply drop the front sight into the notch until a diamond appears, and the fired shot will land at the top peak of the diamond.
The CZ-75 kit includes front and rear sight bases, along with two Firefly sight inserts in coral and lime-yellow colors. The kit also provides users with .029 inches of elevation shims and the tools necessary for installation. The company also provides aqua- and green-colored Firefly inserts as an upgrade.
The Smith & Wesson M&P Shield kit includes many of the same tools and products, but .044 inches of elevation are included instead of .029 inches. In addition, the company warns that the sights will not fit on M&P CORE model pistols.
The suggested retail price for a set of Advantage Tactical Dark Diamond Night Sights starts at $98.49.
