Thyrm introduced its newest product in its line of CellVault storage products: the CellVault XL. The new XL is designed to double the capacity of the company's original CellVault.

"Customers love the original CellVault’s slim profile for adding critical battery storage to their gear, but many have a bit more dedicated space. So we designed the CellVault XL to maximize storage on a full MOLLE/PALS column. The extra space lets users carry more survival items, more batteries and adds the ability to store 18650 rechargeables," Thyrm CEO Andrew Frazier said.

The CellVault XL is designed to protect its contents from the elements, using a rubber seal at the mouth of the case that is latched shut with the extended handle designed to fit into MOLLE webbing loops or on a belt. The XL fits a wide range of batteries, such as 6 CR123s, 8 AAAs, 4 AAs or two 18650 rechargeables. The unit contains a removable divider that allows users to organize and secure batteries.

The case, with the divider removed, also gives users a waterproof storage option for small survival kits or even protecting data on flashdrives.

"We were blown away by how many uses customers found for the original CellVault, so we can’t wait to see how the XL’s larger capacity allows for even more possibilities," Frazier said.

The new Thyrm CellVault XL comes in black, urban gray, olive drab, flat dark earth or rescue orange colors. The suggested retail price on the XL is $29.99.
