In support of John "TIG" Tiegen and his non-profit organization, Beyond the Battlefield, Kahr Arms announced the production of a limited-edition TIG Series ST9 pistol, custom built with a number of exclusive features.

The Kahr Arms TIG Series ST9 features a polymer frame printed with a custom Kryptek Typhon camouflage coating. The pistol's frame features a built-in Picatinny accessory rail that allows for the addition of lights and lasers. Atop the frame, users will find a black-finished slide machined from stainless steel. The slide features front and rear cocking serrations and is topped off with white three-dot sights for easy target acquisition. Inside the slide, users will find a 4-inch barrel.

Shipping in January 2018, only 1,000 models of the limited-edition TIG series guns will be produced. Each pistol in the series is sequentially numbered 1-1,000 and includes an engraved TIG logo, Tiegen's signature and the Beyond the Battlefield logo.

As part of the limited-edition TIG Series of guns, the first 50 TIG Series ST9 pistols will be sold as part of 50 three-gun sets, including a TIG Model Auto-Ordnance Tommy Gun and Magnum Research Desert Eagle. The three-gun sets will also include an autographed copy of "13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi." The remaining 950 guns will be sold at a suggested retail price of $541.

Beyond the Battlefield, the non-profit organization receiving a portion of the proceeds from the sale of TIG Series guns, was founded by John and Margaret Tiegen in 2017 to provide necessary support to wounded veterans making the transition from military service into civilian life. Tiegen himself is a former CIA Global Response Staff Operator who survived the attack on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11, 2012.
