Nightforce Optics took the combat-tested design of its popular line of NXS riflescopes and incorporated the essentials into a new line of optics for 2018. The new Nightforce NX8 1-8x24mm F1 riflescope is the first in the NX8 family of optics from the company.

"Constructing such a small riflescope to surpass the performance of most larger scopes entails a solid commitment to innovation and optical technology," said Gordon Myers, Nightforce director of sales and marketing.

The Nightforce NX8 1-8x24mm riflescope is purpose-built to provide owners of any battle- or competition-ready rifle platform with a rugged, durable optic that can withstand any environment while providing peak optical performance. Unlike many other short-to-medium-range optics on the market, the new NX8 is built with true 1X ability on the low end of the magnification range.

"Put it on your competition rifle for 3-gun, or use it for a variety of shooting disciplines," said Alan Stillwell, Nightforce North America sales manager. "The NX8 1-8x24 F1 is also robust enough for professional use."

The optic is packed with a number of elements and features designed to make it an attractive option for shooters, such as its lightness, weighing in at only 17 ounces. The optic is also designed to be compact, measuring only 8.75 inches long, ensuring that users have plenty of rail space for mounting other accessories.

Built with the company's FC-MIL or FC-MOA reticle located in the first focal plane, the optic provides accurate, dependable holdover and windage markings that can be used at any magnification range and any distance, always providing owners with the precise information needed to make accurate, first-round hits on targets. The scope also features the company's ZeroStop turrets, which allow for an accurate and easy return to zero after dialing in on a target. Windage and elevation adjustments come in .2 MILs or .50 MOA, depending on the reticle choice.

The Nightforce Optics NX8 1-8x24mm F1 riflescope is built on a 30mm tube and features an internal adjustment range of 100 MOA or 30 MILs. The parallax is fixed at 125 meters and eye relief measures 3.75 inches. A quick-adjustment throw lever is also included with the optic. The suggested retail price on the new scope is $1,750.
