Caracal USA introduced its 814 A2 and 816 A2 series of rifles at SHOT Show 2017, two AR-style firearms made for the US market. The 814 A2 uses a direct-impingement gas system, while the 816 A2 uses a short- stroke gas piston system. The 814 A2 features a Magpul MOE handguard, which uses the M-lOK attachment system. The gun also comes with a two-point QD sling, a flip-up rear sight, a cleaning kit and a 30-round magazine. The 816 A2 features Caracal's proprietary handguard, which uses the M-LOK attachment system, but comes with the same accessories as the 814 A2. The suggested retail price for the CAR814 A2 is $1,300, while the CAR816 A2 retails for $1,850.
