Meopta Launches MeoTac 3-12x50 RD Riflescope

The new MeoTac 3-12x50 RD riflescope from Meopta is a tactical scope designed specifically for use on battle rifles.

The scope is designed to work with medium-range engagement platforms and is directed at military units, security details and tactical shooters. The MeoTac features the company's MeoLux lens coating that, along with the Schott glass used in the scope, provides for 99.8 percent light transmission, according to the company.

The scope is build on a 34 mm tube made from aircraft-grade aluminum and features a windage adjustment range of 55 MOA and an elevation adjustment range of 100 MOA. The click adjustments are measured in 1/3 MOA increments. The scope also features a side-focus parallax adjustment that ranges from 27 yards to infinity.

Reticle illumination controls are also found on the side of the scope body. The scope features 16 different illumination intensity settings, along with intermediate off positions between each power setting. The scope also features an auto-off function that turns the illumination off after an hour of inactivity.

The MeoTac scope features the illuminated MilDot 3 RD reticle, which is located in the first focal plane and features rangefinding elements set within the reticle that can be used at any power level. The scope also features Meopta's MeoShield protective lens coating, a fast-focus eyepiece and an anodized exterior for scratch resistance. In addition, the MeoTac is waterproof and fogproof.

The suggested retail price on the new MeoTac 3-12x50 tactical scope is $2,529.99.
