DDupleks shotgun slugs are non-toxic, all-steel shotgun ammunition that is available in more than 30 countries. Now, the company is bringing its line of shotgun ammo to the United States. The company's first domestic offerings will include four loads in two separate brands.

The DDupleks Steelhead brand features a solid-steel slug that comes one-ounce or 1 1/8-ounce weights. The solid-steel construction is designed for maximum penetration, and a flat ogive gives the slug maximum energy transfer, while a narrowed slug body provides for aerodynamic stabilization. A polyethylene surface works to reduce bore friction.

The Steelhead slug can be used in both smoothbore and rifled barrels and is safe for use with all chokes. The round is also certified by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife for its non-toxic construction which leaves behind no lead or plastic fouling.

The company also produces the Broadhead brand, which features an expanding steel slug that features six breakaway petals for controlled expansion. This new design provides as much energy transfer as possible using the seven separate wound channels resulting from the breakaway petals and solid-slug body.

All DDupleks ammunition is loaded in high-density plastic hulls with a high-brass case head and a No. 209 shotshell primer. The Steelhead slug loads retail at a suggested price of $7.99 for a box of five rounds, while the Broadhead loads start at $10.99.
