Century Arms is now a player in the concealed-carry market with the introduction of the Canik TP9SF Elite compact pistol.

"This is a very exciting product for us as it now puts the Canik line solidly in the concealed carry market," said Jacob Herman, Century Arms director of business development. "The Elite was developed in response to concealed carry, law enforcement and private security needs. These pistols are small enough to easily conceal, but large enough to be a highly effective fighting handgun."

Two guns will be released as part of the TP9SF Elite line: the TP9SF Elite and the Elite-S. Both pistols feature a 4.07-inch match-grade barrel and a shortened 5.27-inch grip in order to make the handgun more concealable. Despite the size decrease, the guns feature a 15+1 round capacity. Total unloaded weight is 28.3 ounces.

Other features include a set of Warren Tactical sights that include a red fiber-optic front sight, an ambidextrous slide lock, slide serrations on the front and rear of the gun, and a tungsten gray Cerakote finish on the slide. The Elite-S differs from the Elite in that it includes a trigger stop as an added security feature.

Both guns are offered in 9 mm and ship with two magazines, a polymer holster with a paddle and belt attachment, interchangeable backstraps and a cleaning rod and brush. The suggested retail price on the Canik TP9SF Elite line is $459.99.
