Heckler & Koch USA has introduced the new HK CC9, a polymer-frame, striker-fired “micro nine” 9mm pistol. While the CC9 shares similarities with many other handguns in its class, this pistol has passed the rigorous testing during development that is a hallmark of Heckler & Koch. HK subjected all test prototypes of the CC9 to the same high reliability and durability standards for its full-size, duty-oriented models like the HK P30 and VP9. This commitment to quality meant a longer design and development process, as engineers made adjustments based on the test results. The company has reported firing over 750,000 rounds of 9mm ammunition throughout the CC9’s development phase before it hit the market.

As HK’s smallest pistol ever crafted, the CC9 reflects the brand’s legacy, originating from the Mauser-Obendorf factory post-World War II in West Germany. This 9mm double-stack handgun features an optics-ready slide compatible with popular micro-red-dot sights, specifically designed for Shield RMSc and Holosun K footprints. Additionally, it comes equipped with XS Sights’ tritium night sights for effective shooting without an attached optic. With a 3.3-inch barrel, the CC9 offers a standard magazine capacity of either 10 or 12 rounds, depending on local regulations.
