Bear & Son Cutlery, based in Jacksonville, AL, offers its Bear Ops Bear Song 5 3/8 Double Grind Single-Edge Butterfly Knife for sale.

The butterfly knife is one of many options in the company's product line and features a blade forged from 1095 carbon steel covered with a black powder coat. The handle is constructed from black T6 aircraft-grade aluminum. The 1095 steel used in the construction of the blade measures 58-60 on the Rockwell hardness scale.

Total length of the knife closed is 5 3/8 inches long. The edge length of the blade is 3 7/8 inches long. The knife weighs 4.5 ounces. The knife features a pivoting lock that keeps the knife closed when in its stored position and prevents the butterfly handles from splaying apart when the blade is exposed.

The knife features a set of lightening cuts along the center of the blade as well as a skeletonized blade handle to reduce weight. The knife comes with a drawstring bag for storage.

Along with the knife, the company offers a lifetime warranty and a free sharpening service, provided that the customer encloses funds to facilitate return shipping of the product. For those who prefer to take care of their own blades, the company recommends the use of a stone sharpener along with a light coat of oil to prevent rusting.

The Bear Ops Single-Edge Butterfly Knife retails at a suggested price of $159.99.
