We've covered one of the Steel Will Gekko Mini series, the 1551, previously. Everything in that review still rings true: the size is perfect, the lockback mechanism is tried and true and works every time, it opens crisply and easily; pretty much everything about this pocketknife just plain works.

So, how do you improve upon a knife that's pretty much "just right?" You don't - you just give the consumer more options. Steel Will offers the Gekko Mini in three different guises: There's the 1551 we've covered, a pretty traditional version with black G10 scales and a satin blade; there's the 1550 with green Micarta scales and the same satin blade; and there's the 1552, which has a red Micarta handle

No matter what aesthetics you prefer, all three knives feature N690Co steel, a full length of 7.87 inches and a 3.5-inch blade length. All three come with Steel Will's lifetime warranty, along with the company's 30-day "Total Satisfaction" guarantee for any knife purchased directly from the company.

MSRP: $199.99 for the 1550, 1551 or 1552.
