There are an awful lot of pistol grips out there for the AR-15 platform. A quick glance in my own armory reveals grips from Ergo Grips, Magpul, ATI, FAB Defense and other manufacturers. Some are chosen for comfort, others to match certain furniture and some just to test out.

Mission First Tactical's Engage Pistol Grip V2 brings a fixed 15-degree grip angle, a gentle textured finish that wraps around the entire grip and a molded projection that fills in the gap between pistol grip and trigger guard. It's simple, ergonomic and just plain works.

Installation follows, well, pretty much every other pistol grip out there: make sure the AR is unloaded, unscrew the old grip (make sure the safety detente spring doesn't get lost), replace with new grip (make sure safety detente spring doesn't get crushed). Once installed, the shorter reach to the trigger offered by the more-shallow grip angle fosters greater trigger control and maneuverability.

MSRP: $19.99. Available in black, Foliage Green, grey and Scorched Dark Earth.
