There are certain universal truths out there. Don't get involved in a land war in Asia. Don't go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line. And you can never have enough pockets and storage in a pack you rely on every day.

Cannae (yes, named after *that* battle) offers its Legion Day Pack with numerous pockets, dozens of MOLLE attachment points, D-rings for clip-on attachments and an overall capacity of 21 cubic liters. Couple this with a water bottle holder, a spot for a hydration bladder, sturdy YKK zippers and even a whistle on the cross-chest strap and you've got a purpose-built pack that'll take whatever your day dishes out.

The first sign this isn't your average pack is the way you access the main compartment. Rather than a standard zipper in the middle of the pack, the Legion opens the entire front and top. It makes for instant access to the interior of the pack, but also allows quick access if you only unzip the top portion.

The front pouch is large enough for a tablet and has several compartments inside for keys, pens and other essential items. There's a padded pouch for sunglasses over the main pouch, and twin open-top areas sized for a standard water bottle or a couple AR-15 30-round magazine are found on the sizes. The pack is padded throughout for comfortable carry, and has both waist- and chest-level straps to keep it in place. A sturdy rubber-wrapped handle on the very top allows for grab-and-go if needed.

MSRP: $120. Available in coyote brown and black.
