Ruger announced the addition of three new models of handguns to its popular Mark IV family of rimfire pistols. The new models join the existing lineup of hunter, target and competition pistols to offer consumers seven different pistol options.

The foremost option offered in the new lineup is the Mark IV 22/45 Lite model, which builds off the company's success with earlier versions of the 22/45 Lite. The new Mark IV 22/45 features a bronze-anodized finish and is made with aerospace-grade aluminum that features ventilation holes to lighten the weight of the gun.

The pistol also comes with molded polymer grip frames and a factory-installed Picatinny rail system for easy mounting of optics. Total weight of the 22/45 Lite is 25 ounces. The suggested retail price is $559.

The company also introduced new models of the Mark IV Hunter and Target that feature wraparound grips. These grips are made from wood laminate and feature finger grooves for an ergonomic, precise fit to improve shooting precision. The suggested retail prices on the Hunter and Target models with improved grips are $799 and $569, respectively.
