Rite in the Rain, known for its waterproof notebooks made from the company's proprietary rain-repellent paper, is now expanding its lineup to produce waterproof targets.

The new targets repel rainwater and produce clean holes, so that individual bullet strikes are more evident on the sheet. The paper blend also minimizes spidering, so shooters can get a more accurate representation of their shot placement. In addition, the targets won't stick together like other products on the market.

These new targets allow shooters to practice in all weather conditions without sacrificing accurate target evaluation. For self-defense-minded individuals, it is imperative to know how to perform in every kind of atmospheric condition, and these targets make it easy to measure a shooter's performance, no matter what happens outdoors. Shooters can also leave unfinished targets up outdoors without having to worry about future weather conditions.

Rite in the Rain offers several different kinds of weatherproof targets for use. The company has Alt-C and Slow-Fire Qualification Targets available for use. These allow for the simulation of long-range firing and accuracy evaluation. The company also offers military-grade 25-meter zeroing targets for M16/M4 rifle systems. The zeroing targets sell at a suggested retail price of $18.60 for a pack of 100. The larger slow-fire and Alt-C qualification targets retail for $12.95 for a pack of 10.

The company is also producing official NRA-sanctioned targets with its waterproof blend. Shooters can buy NRA B-6, B-6C, B-8, B8-C and SR-C targets through National Target. Suggested retail prices on NRA targets range from $8.75 for a 50-pack of B-6C to $35 for a 50-pack of B-8 targets. Targets are also available through Rite in the Rain's website or on Amazon.
