Hexmag launched the Series 2 polymer AR-15 magazine, which contains a number of improvements over the original Series 1 magazine.

The Series 2 magazine will be available in 5.56 NATO and will also reliably support the .300 BLK, .458 SOCOM and .50 Beowulf cartridges.

The new Series 2 magazine features a redesigned catch pocket and improved stabilization to ensure positive retention in the magazine well in demanding conditions. The magazine also contains redesigned feed lips for improved function and includes a new stripper clip guide in order to facilitate magazine charging.

The Series 2 magazine is constructed from a proprietary fiber-reinforced polymer that, according to Hexmags, provides greater performance than other polymer magazines on the market.

"The Series 2 magazine's development is the result of much improved design and engineering that has resulted in an AR magazine with superior strength, minimal weight and most importantly a streamlined interior for greater durability and reliability," said George Brown, president of Hexmag.

In addition to engineering improvements, Hexmag's unique design offers a solid gripping surface in a wide range of environments. The gripping surface can be improved even further through the use of Hexmag's Grip Tape.

The new Series 2 Hexmag polymer AR-15 magazine is available in black, olive drab, gray and flat dark earth. The suggested retail price is $14.99.
