Leatherman "Tread

If you're one of those people who can't imagine being without some sort of multi-tool even when flying, you know that's easier said than done. From the tiny micro-sized multi-tools to the full-sized ones that include the "usuals" along with socket sets and nut drivers, pocket tools are non-starters on airplanes. Or they were until Leatherman rolled out what I thought was a piece of rugged-looking jewelry. It isn't just a piece of jewelry. When opened off the wrist, each piece of the linking area includes either a screwdriver blade or other useful tool. If you look closely at the photo, you can see the nut driver in the back-center. Very cool tool and, best of all this wrist-worn tool chest is TSA compliant.

The Leatherman Tread will be available in the Spring of 2015, and will be offered in stainless steel and a black coating. MSRP is $150 to $200, depending on the model.
