A 50-state-legal AR? Impossible, you say. Not so. The ARES Defense SCR( Sport Configurable Rifle features a MIL-STD, flattop upper receiver for integrating optics with a fixed, sporter-style stock, which causes recoil to travel downward like a shotgun for a softer-shooting rifle. Its traditional push-pin design permits shooters to instantly change calibers on the fly. The SCR is avail in 5.56 NATO and 7.62x 39 mm and ships with a Magpul MOE handguard in either carbine or rifle lengths and a five round AR-15/M16 magazine.

The SCR also accepts most AR accessories and parts, including upper receivers, magazines, barrels, bolts handguards and optics.
