Though Buffalo Bore is known for its +P loads for handguns—especially big-bore revolvers—this is a standard-pressure .40 S&W load. In the future, as Buffalo Bore expands its line, you can expect to see more loads like this. Black Hills, DoubleTap and Wilson Combat all offer the 140-grain Barnes TAC-XP load for the .40 S&W, but none of those three achieve velocities as fast as Buffalo Bore's load. From a terminal-performance standpoint, however, they are, for all practical purposes, identical. Buffalo Bore rates this load at 1,300 fps from a 5-inch barrel.
