Safariland introduced the redesigned Bark-9 canine vest for law enforcement service dogs. The Bark-9 carrier is fully adjustable and incorporates a rugged Cordura nylon exterior material for long-lasting wear. The Bark-9 is available with two ballistic options using the same materials as the PROTECH MR01 Type II and Type IIIA ballistic packages.

The Bark-9 carrier features six straps that are fed through a D-ring strapping system and secured to high-profile hook and loop attachment platforms providing excellent adjustability. The 1,000-denier Cordura nylon exterior offers long-lasting wear, and a breathable, diamond nylon rip-stop interior fabric features Spacer-Mesh padding for a more cushioned and comfortable fit. The carrier is further equipped with a reinforced restraint handle and two D-rings for adjustable leash attachment.

The Bark-9 also features two plate pockets for insertion of the PROTECH Tactical IMPAC special threat plates. The 5x8-inch IMPAC plates (available for optional purchase) are designed to cover the heart and lungs area. The carrier further includes hook and loop ID attachment platforms on either side of the vest to allow for placement of optional POLICE and SHERIFF ID patches for hi-visibility identification.

Available in multiple sizes ranging from small to XL, the Bark-9 is available now and can be ordered in the following colors: Black, Tactical Green, Ranger Green, Khaki, Digital Urban Camo, Navy, Digital Woodland, MultiCam, ACU or A-TACS.
