Buffalo Bore loads a lot of Gold Dot bullets for defensive handguns, but at the request of Speer, boxes are not so marked. Buffalo Bore's JHP .38 Super loads with 115-, 124- and 147-grain projectiles all use Gold Dot bullets, and out of this hot little cartridge they are impressive performers. The 147-grain load penetrates very deep for a 9 mm bullet that expands to almost 1.5 times its original diameter. Of course, the recoil is just as impressive.
