Umarex USA continues to prove it's much more than an airsoft company with the introduction of the Regent R100. Imported from Turkey, the R100 is an entry-level 1911 chambered in .45 ACP with an investment-cast frame and a CNC-machined, bar-stock slide. It has a 5-inch barrel and weighs 40 ounces. What's most likely to enthrall shooters, however, is the pistol's retail price of just $499.

The stainless steel version will begin being shipped to distributors in late August, but, according to what we were told today the version in the background should already be available at a firearm dealer near you.
