When I tested the +P version of this load, back in March, 2012, I knew I wanted to see how it would perform in a standard-pressure format. Therefore, I asked Mike McNett at DoubleTap to offer a standard-pressure version at about 1,100 fps, which he has. Here are the results.

Out of my Colt Commander, muzzle velocity averaged 1,114 fps, which was right on target. Expansion was a tad less than average, which is 1.5 times the unfired diameter. The muzzle flash, just as with the +P version, was excessive. On the positive side, this load was controllable from a Lightweight Commander and penetration was well above average for the .45 ACP.
