Ruger’s SR1911 Lightweight Commander-Style line of pistols adds a new chambering perfect for concealed carry: The SR1911 Commander-Style in 9 mm. Like the line’s .45 ACP, the 9 mm version features a commander-length slide and an aluminum frame that weigh nearly a half pound less than all-stainless steel Commander-Style configurations. Yet unlike the .45 ACP, the SR1911 Commander-Style 9 mm pistol provides higher magazine capacity and less recoil.

The SR1911 in 9 mm is an accurate and ergonomic handgun that’s thin, small and light, which makes it perfect for everyday concealed carry. The 4.25-inch aluminum barrel, with improved cocking serrations on the slide, cuts down on the gun’s weight keeping it at 29.3 ounces when unloaded.

The new Ruger SR1911 Lightweight Commander-Style in 9mm Luger features a Series 70-type lock work, Novak LoMount Carry three-dot sights, a lowered and flared ejection port, titanium firing pin and a precision machined barrel with matched brushing. The 9 mm SR1911 model comes standard with an integral plunger tube, beaver-tail grip safety, extended magazine release, oversize thumb safety, skeletonized hammer and skeletonized aluminum trigger for fast, accurate shooting. The gun is manufactured with black rubberized grip panels and a gray anodized frame giving it a slightly different look than the others in the SR1911 line.
