Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro Holsters

The Hellcat Pro pistol continues to be Springfield Armory’s flagship model in the micro-9mm double-stack defensive carry pistol market segment.

This question would seem rather elementary, but what good is any carry pistol without proper holsters? Here is an assortment of a few holster options—both modern and traditional—for the Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro.

Milt SparksMilt Sparks Summer Special 2 (MSRP: $190)

One of the holsters that put Milt Sparks on the radar was its original Summer Special. Designed in part with Bruce Nelson, this IWB (inside the waistband) leather holster became a paradigm shift in IWB behind-the-hip carry and even the beginnings of appendix-inside-the-waistband (AIWB) carry. In 1992, Milt Sparks further refined the Summer Special design and introduced the Summer Special 2. The Summer Special 2, available for the Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro, combines features of the original Summer Special and the Milt Sparks Executives Companion holster. Summer Special 2s are crafted with roughout leather and feature a full encased metal reinforced mouth. It also rides slightly lower than the standard Summer Special.

LAS KaizenLAS Concealment Kaizen (MSRP: $79.98)

The LAS Concealment Kaizen is a modern concealed carry holster that fits the Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro among other pistols. Named after the Japanese term for "continuous improvement,” the Kaizen’s holster philosophy is to cut down on bulk and extra fluff and provide for a sleek and smooth carry experience. This appendix carry (AIWB) holster offers some modularity via LAS Concealment’s proprietary wings and attachment accessories, and as a modern holster, it’s red-dot friendly right out of the box.

GalcoGalco Combat Master Belt Holster (MSRP: $132)

Galco’s Combat Master, one of the company’s best-selling holsters, is a fully stitched steerhide OWB (Outside-the-waistband) concealment leather holster with a butt-forward cant and a body-hugging backside, with a design allows the wearer to carry with this holster almost anywhere around their waist circumference. Despite the Galco Combat Master’s traditional pancake design, its belt loops are slightly wider at 1.75 inches as opposed to the typical 1.5-inch width seen on this type of holster. The Combat Master’s open-top design leaves the pistol’s grip easily accessible as well. The design of this holster would also facilitate using the Springfield Hellcat Pro in USPSA or IDPA matches.

MFTMission First Tactical AIWB/OWB Holster (MSRP: $54.99)

Mission First Tactical offers its standard ambidextrous AIWB/OWB holster for the Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro. This versatile holster can be rigged up for either left- or right-handed use. Depending on the belt attachment hardware, the wearer can carry it in the AIWB (appendix) position. However, this same holster can also be worn on the other side of the waistband just as easily. Mission First Tactical designed this holster to play well with red-dot sights, and the rear part of the holster is clear to not interfere with an electronic sight. Its sight channel is also raised to accommodate taller red dot iron sights too. Cant and retention are also adjustable.

Incog XSafariland Incog X IWB Holster (MSRP: $100.50)

Although Safariland is best known for its duty-style and uniform holsters, this iconic brand has been expanding into the contemporary concealed- carry holster segment as well. Safariland collaborated with Haley Strategic Partners to develop the Incog X IWB holster, and now has models for the Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro. This hybrid thermomolded IWB holster has a gentle curve to hug the wearer’s body whether they are carrying in the classic behind the hip IWB position or in the appendix position. Incog X holsters differ from most other polymer holsters as they come with cordura wrap, just like their 6000 series big brothers. They can also be had as both pistol light compatible and standard options. The Incog X also comes with an optional magazine caddy attachment.
