National Rifle Association (NRA) Executive Vice President and CEO Doug Hamlin was honored recently by Sellmark with its prestigious Sellmark Heritage Award, which recognizes individuals who have made a “lasting impact in conservation, hunting, shooting sports and the preservation of outdoor traditions.” Hamlin accepted the award at the Sellmark headquarters in Mansfield, TX, from CEO and founder James Sellers.

“It’s always great to see like-minded people standing up for our freedoms,” Hamlin said. “Sellmark understands what’s at stake. As Americans, it is our duty to ensure that our outdoor way of life, built by a strong tradition in hunting, conservation and the shooting sports, not only survives but thrives. I appreciate the recognition, and rest assured, we’re going to keep fighting for the values that make this country great.”

The Sellmark Heritage Award is presented annually to leaders in the outdoor and shooting sports world who demonstrate a steady commitment to “protecting and advancing” the values of America’s outdoor traditions.

“Doug Hamlin has been a tireless advocate for preserving the traditions that define America’s outdoor heritage,” Sellmark CEO James Sellers said during the award presentation. “His leadership in championing the Second Amendment, ethical hunting and conservation efforts embodies the very essence of the Sellmark Heritage Award. We are honored to recognize his contributions and the lasting impact he continues to make.”

For a quarter-century Sellmark has brought to market industry-leading outdoor lifestyle products like cutting-edge night vision, laser sights, boresights, thermal scopes, tactical riflescopes, red-dot sights, hunting scopes, shooting rests and more. Sellmark brands including Sightmark, Pulsar, Firefield, KJI, BulletSafe, INFORCE and Dark30 are available in more than 5,000 locations worldwide. The company champions a healthy outdoor lifestyle and drives innovation through leadership, ethics and hard work.

Hamlin was elected Vice President and CEO of the NRA by its Board of Directors in May 2024. Prior to that he served as executive director of NRA Publications for roughly a decade.
