Known for its AR-type rifles, Rock River Arms jumped headfirst into the bolt gun arena with the introduction of its RBG series rifle at the 2020 SHOT Show in Las Vegas.

Chambered in many long-range shooter’s favorite 6.5 Creedmoor, the RBG rifle is built on a Kinetic Research Group Chassis, which includes a skeletonized buttstock with adjustable length-of-pull and cheek piece. The proprietary short-action design houses the 6.5 Creedmoor, while a stainless action and barrel make for a sleek look and added durability in the field.

The RBG features a 20-inch Wilson fluted stainless steel barrel with 1:10-inch twist and 5/8-24 threading and protector. Air gauged and cryo-treated, the barrel is engineered to deliver exceptional accuracy out to extended ranges. Speaking of accuracy, a TriggerTech trigger breaks cleanly and crisply to produce minuscule group sizes.

Other features include a knurled and oversize bolt handle for easy operation, while a 20-MOA Picatinny rail accommodates a variety of long-range-capable optics. The added height is ideal for maximum scope adjustments or bullet-drop compensation. Likewise, the rifle utilizes detachable box mags compatible with AICS- or Magpul-style.

Weighing in at 10.2 pounds and 40 inches in length, the RBG delivers sub-MOA accuracy and carries an MSRP of $4,150. The rifle is available with green, black or tan chassis colors, features sling attachment points and a Picatinny rail at the 6 o’clock position for bipod attachment.
