The P320 series of pistols have been a game-changer for SIG Sauer and the firearms industry as a whole. From winning the military’s Modular Handgun System contest to its acceptance as the sidearm of choice for many different law enforcement agencies, the P320 is quickly building a legacy as one of the industry's go-to pistol platforms.

New for 2019 is the P320 XCOMPACT, an extension of the popular XSERIES line of pistols, which features a completely redesigned grip module with an improved beavertail and fastback profile, contoured magwell, and a deep trigger guard undercut which allows for a higher grip on the pistol compared to the standard P320.

Aimed at the incredibly popular market of concealed-carry guns, the new P320 XCOMPACT builds on the success of the earlier X-CARRY model introduced in 2018. However, including the frame redesigns, the XCOMPACT also features a shortened grip frame and overall length to aid in concealment.

“The P320 XCOMPACT redefines what a compact pistol should be by combining concealability with full size XSERIES features. This expansion of the P320 series of pistols also adds to the unprecedented modularity, and depth of options available to the consumer already available with the P320 series,” said Tom Taylor, Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President, Commercial Sales for SIG Sauer.

The SIG Sauer P320 XCOMPACT is a modular, striker-fired pistol with a serialized trigger group that makes it easily adaptable to different caliber, size, and grips. Available in 9mm, the pistol also features day/night sights, a flat trigger and an integral rear mounting plate that allows for easier addition of an electronic optic.

The gun has a 7 inch overall length, with a 3.6 inch barrel length. 5.3 inches high and 1.3 inches wide, it weighs just over 25 ounces with the magazine inserted. The gun ships with two 15-round magazines, and more information is available at sigsauer.com.
