SIG Sauer Academy has added Rifle Mechanics to its catalog of courses and upcoming sessions for the new one-day classes include July 7, 9 and 11. Attendees will get a hands-on training in the basics of semi-automatic rifles and increase their comfort level while developing a solid skill base in the use of modern sporting rifles.

Students will be guided through rifle manipulation drills, including reloading and malfunction clearances, as well as learn marksmanship fundamentals. Drills include shooting from the prone, kneeling and seated positions while engaging multiple targets.

The SIG Sauer Academy is known for delivering world-class training to elite military units, law enforcement and responsible citizens. With 110 courses held on 25 ranges spanning nearly 140 acres there is something available for everyone. To register and review the course outline visit the SIG Sauer Academy website.

Registration is also open for the second-annual Adaptive Defensive Shooting Summit, which will also take place at SIG Sauer’s Epping, NH, facility from October 23 to 24. This year’s event has been expanded in competitor capacity and the challenges they will face.

To participate competitors will be required to attend a half-day training and live-fire shooting development seminar held on Oct. 23. The session is included in the $95 registration fee and will be taught by renowned Learn To Shoot Again and SIG Sauer Academy instructors.

SIG Sauer Academy is following all CDC guidelines to protect the health of its staff, students and the public. Prior to entering the academy everyone is screened by a thermal scan (temperature taken) then issued a mask that is required to be worn. A questionnaire must also be filled out before attending any course. Only 10 people are allowed into the pro shop at any one time. As always, for more information on SIG Sauer visit sigsauer.com.
