Mossberg Announces

Mossberg has announced an MC2 Free Holster promotion in which purchasers of a new Mossberg MC2sc or MC2c 9mm pistol between July 6, 2022, and Dec. 31, 2022, qualify to receive a free a Black Arch Rev-Con holster—valued at $54.95. New owners have until Jan. 31, 2023, for their redemptions to be postmarked, or online information submitted directly to Mossberg.

Mossberg expanded its pistol line to include the MC2c (compact) and MC2sc (subcompact) after the phenomenal success of its MC1sc, the first semi-auto pistol in Mossberg’s history, The new models have double-stack magazines for increased capacity, yet provide a compact profile for comfortable concealed carry.

As for performance, when Shooting Illustrated’s Richard Mann tested and reviewed the MC2sc in February 2022, he wrote, “The Mossberg MC2sc fits perfectly in the genre of handguns currently in demand by those searching for a concealed-carry pistol. It delivers 9 mm power in an easily concealable, compact package, that’s extremely accurate, reliable and reflex-sight compatible. Mossberg is doing an outstanding job bringing quality handguns to the market at prices that will not make blue-collar Americans pull out their credit card or cause them to become engaged in divorce proceedings. With inflation as it is, and with no relief in sight, that’s a good thing.”

MC2 frames are constructed of glass-reinforced polymer and feature high tensile strength and stiffness combined with impact and chemical resistance. The slides are 416 stainless steel and feature black DLC (Diamond-Like Coating).

The MC2 Free Holster promotion is valid only for new MC2sc and MC2c pistols. The offer may not be combined with any other sale, promotion, discount, code, coupon and/or offer. Full details and redemption forms are available online

MIM Myths

Metal-injection molding (MIM) creates complex, durable and reliable metal parts in things we use daily. Its ability to churn out high volumes at reduced cost endeared it to the firearm industry decades ago. Despite that fact, gun companies we asked about the process were tight lipped.
