Hornady Manufacturing received the Mid-States Distributing Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 Mid-States Spectacular in Phoenix, AZ. Jason Hornady, vice president of Hornady Manufacturing, accepted the honor, which acknowledges a company’s exceptional, long-term contributions and unwavering dedication to excellence.

“We are so pleased to recognize Jason with a well-deserved Lifetime Achievement Award,” said Tom Mahlke, president and CEO of Mid-States Distributing. “The Hornady family has built an incredible company and they have been a valued partner with Mid-States for many, many years. Jason, his father Steve, and the entire team from Grand Island, NE, are first class.”

The prestigious award is presented to a firm that has demonstrated outstanding partnership and service over many years, setting a high standard for commitment and quality. It represents the pinnacle of recognition from Mid-States Distributing, celebrating a legacy of exceptional collaboration and sustained impact.

Established in 1954, Mid-States Distributing is a leading farm, ranch and home retail cooperative with 36 independent, privately held retailers. Together, the group’s members manage approximately 700 retail store locations throughout the United States and Canada, generating more than $6.5 billion in annual retail sales. They offer customers agriculture parts and supplies, petroleum products, tools and hardware, pet food, lawn and garden products, animal health supplies, apparel, footwear, sporting goods and other items for farms, ranches and homes.

Founded in 1949, Hornady is a family-owned business headquartered in Grand Island, NE. This year the company is celebrating its 75th anniversary and, given its already legendary status in the firearm industry, shows no signs of slowing down. Earlier in 2024 it took over management of the famed Heartland Public Shooting Park, also in Grand Island, and in May it finally made public its Drag Variability Reduction Technology that’s been shrinking groups in its bullets and cartridges since 2018. The company is a world leader in bullet, ammunition, reloading tool, accessory and security product design and manufacturing. Hornady products are proudly made in the United States.
