The Headrest Safe Company has entered into a partnership with Grand Design RV in which the Headrest Safe will be standard equipment in the company’s new Lineage C-Class motorhome—the firm’s first motorized RV since the firm began in 2012.

“We couldn’t be more excited about this new partnership,” said Louis Tuck, COO/CFO of The Headrest Safe Company. “With this key partnership, RV owners will now have a safe and secure way to travel and store their firearms and valuables while on their next great adventure.”

Grand Design’s decision to include a gun safe is unusual for the camping-in-comfort industry—perhaps a first—despite the increasing value of RVs and the lucrative target they make for carjacking. The company will manufacture its Lineage product line from its Middlebury, IN, campus and MSRP begins at $197,618.

“The Lineage name recognizes that the brand is an extension of our strong Grand Design foundation, while simultaneously representing what is passed forward over time,” said Don Clark, President and CEO of Grand Design RV. “It recognizes our relentless commitment to being both dealer centric and customer focused. We are looking forward to adding a safe and secure way for our consumers to store their valuables while on the road.”

Grand Design will share additional information on product specifics for the Class C motorhome and the expanded motorized portfolio in the next few months.

The Headrest Safe Company was established in 2022. Its Headrest Safe hides valuables in plain sight, but guards them behind an 18-gauge steel shell accessible through a 16-gauge door opened biometrically, manually with a key or by keypad. The unit locks into the seat to prevent theft.
