Everything you like about the original Max-9, plus a little more.

The Ruger Max-9 offers you the rock-solid reliability of a striker-fired pistol, combined with a short, smooth trigger pull that has a clean break and a positive reset.

The Max-9 is known for being slim lightweight and compact for personal protection while still providing a capacity of up to 12 rounds of 9mm ammunition. The new 4-inch barrel version gives you all of that, plus a longer sight radius and a little more velocity from each round headed downrange.

The Max-9 is built with a through-hardened alloy steel slide, a one-piece, precision-machined fire control chassis and a high-performance, glass-filled nylon grip frame. The medium-textured grip frame provides a secure and comfortable grip, while the tritium/fiber-optic day/night front sight and drift adjustable rear sight provide accuracy in changing light conditions.

If iron sights aren’t your thing, the slide is ready for the direct mounting of co-witnessed JPoint and Shield-pattern micro red dot sights.

Safety features include integrated trigger safety, manual safety, internal striker blocker and inspection port that allows for visual confirmation of a loaded or empty chamber. The magazine release is also reversible.

Also included is two E-Nickel Teflon coated magazines and a finger grip extension floorplate that can be added to the magazine for comfort and improved grip.
