Taurus TX22 Compact

The Taurus TX22 full size 22LR pistol now has a smaller cousin, the TaurusTX 22 Compact. The smaller size of the TX22 Compact is ideal for people with smaller hands and features a 13-round, staggered-column magazine.

Higher-capacity pistols chambered in 22LR have grown in popularity, as America’s gun owners are discovering that they are ideal for training, plinking or competing in some of the more-popular shooting competitions. In addition to this, with the right choice of ammunition, a 22LR caliber firearm can be a surprisingly effective defensive tool.

The TX22 is a striker-fired gun with a smooth trigger pull and a crisp break. The pistol has a high-contrast white dot on the front sight and the rear sight is serrated to cut down on glare. The pistol comes from the factory with a slide milled to accept Holosun K-footprint optics. Adding the weight of an optic can affect reliability on most rimfire pistols, but the TX22 adjusts for this by reducing the weight in the slide with proprietary slide lightening cuts. There is also an 1913 pattern accessory rail for mounting weapon mounted lights or other gear, and the alloy steel barrel is threaded for suppressors, right out of the box.
