The Springfield Armory Emissary 1911-style pistol combines durable, forged steel construction with a beautiful two-tone finish. The pistol is now available in a 5-inch model in 9 mm as well as a 4.25-inch version in .45 ACP. Both pistols feature grenade-pattern checkering on their stainless steel frames and G10 grips, as well as a Tri-Top cut to their carbon steel slides, which gives a custom pistol look. The Emissary is more than just good looks, however, as there is a heavy-profile stainless steel forged bull barrel that delivers maximum accuracy and reduces felt recoil.

The pistol has a two-tone finish, with a blued carbon steel slide and a stainless-steel frame with a squared-off trigger guard. The Tri-Top cut slide has forward lightening grooves and a flattened and a top strap with 40 LPI flat top slide serrations for light diffusion and glare reduction in bright light. The Emissary also has Springfield Armory’s U-Dot sights which are well-suited for defensive situations, offering fast and intuitive acquisition while providing a tritium/luminescent front sight for low light conditions.

The skeletonized hammer on the pistol combines excellent style with exceptional performance, and the pistol features a trigger with a simplified and streamlined design, the solid-body, flat-faced trigger of the Emissary delivers top-end performance.

The 5-inch Emissary has an integrated Picatinny accessory rail underneath the frame that is ready to accept the light, laser or accessory of your choice, and it comes with two high quality stainless steel magazines with base pads. The frame of the pistol is fully wrapped in a grenade pattern texture for firm engagement in adverse conditions. The slim line VZ Grips are machined from G10 while the mainspring housing and front strap are machined to match.

MSRP for the Emissary is $1,279, and for more information on this pistol and other gear from Springfield Armory, please visit springfield-armory.com.
