low capacity Hellcat

Springfield Armory is now selling a version of its popular Hellcat Pro 9mm polymer framed striker fired pistol with a 10-round magazine. This version is meant for gun owners who live in states or regions with magazine restriction capacities. Normally, the standard capacity magazine for the Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro holds 15 cartridges.

The Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro pistol is the company’s top-of-the-line offering from its Hellcat product line of striker-fired 9mm pistols. These subcompact pistols are designed around concealed carry and personal protection. Springfield Armory sells these in various configurations and finishes, including pistols with compensators and other features such as slides cut for mounted red dot optics. In the case of the Springfield Pro, the optics ready slide is included by default, with a fastened cover. The slide is cut for the Springfield Micro optics footprint, which also includes the popular Shield RMSc, among other popular micro dots on the market.

While the Hellcat Pro pistol is technically a subcompact carry gun, its dimensions put it very close to compact pistol size. As a result, this gun is extremely shootable and ergonomic for its size. Its texturing is assertive enough to give the shooter’s hand a good purchase but not aggressive to the point of being abrasive. The standard iron sights included with the gun are also user friendly and suitable for defensive style shooting. These sights consist of a wide U-notch rear with a bold front sight blade.
